This Fourth of July was a special day because Grayson turned 6 months old! He spent the day hanging out with us, and then we headed over to Katelyn and Kerry's for a bbq dinner (and amazing strawberry shortcake for dessert) and fireworks. Two of their neighbors had each spent over $4,000 each on fireworks! It literally sounded like we were in a war zone (and felt like it at times as fireworks...and a couple homemade bombs!...went off all around us). Grayson was of course unable to sleep with all this noise, so Adam and I took turns sitting with him inside watching the fireworks from the window. He loved the fireworks!

-You are now wearing size 3 diapers and 9 month or 6-12 month clothes.
-You love playing pat-a-cake and pat-pat-patting my hand
-Your favorite toys are the exesaucer and anything you can put in your mouth.
-You weigh 17 pounds and 5 ounces, and in the 50th percentile
(I couldn't get any pictures of Grayson with the usual "month" sign because he just tried to eat it every time I set it down. Ha!)

-You love solid food. I have been making all of your food (with the exception of organic brown rice cereal which I buy at the store). You eat avacado, bananas, sweet potatoes...you're current favorite, yams, peas, carrots, pears and apples.
-You love people, and you are always social.
-Your baby babble is starting to sound more like words at times. You've started to say "da", so I'm guessing your first word may be Dada.
-You smile all the time, and everyone comments on what a happy baby you are. You have very few meltdowns (usually only when you're overly tired, very hungry or working on a tooth!).

We love you so much Grayson! I can't believe you are already half a year old! You are truly a joy!
