For a long time now Grayson has loved babies. He points them out to me in stores, wants to cuddle with my friend's babies, and lately he has been wanting to "play" baby. It is just about the cutest thing he is doing these days.
Grayson will come over to me and say, "Bebe!". I ask what does a baby need? He always responds, "blakat". (Translated: blanket.) He'll grab his blanket and paci from the crib, plop himself into my arms and say, "Bebe. Rock!". A huge smile fills his face as I rock him, holding him in my arms and singing songs to him while calling him my baby.
I will never object when this little guy wants to play baby. He is growing up so quickly! Holding him in my arms with his legs sticking out so far makes me realize just how big my "baby" is getting. It reminds me of the book "I'll Love You Forever" when the mom sings the song to her son...
I'll love you forever.
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be.
