Last weekend we went on Grayson's first ever visit to the zoo. My parents came along as well, and we all had such a great time exploring the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. It was a sunny day, and we couldn't have asked for better weather!
Grayson liked the animals that he could get up close to, but he was just as enthralled with all of the rocks to climb on, sticks to throw and paths to run and dance on!

Looking at the fish in the bear exhibit. There were two HUGE brown bears we were able to watch up close. It was enough to make me nervous about walking at the cabin since there have been several sightings on our road there.

This is a sweet picture because when I was his age I too went to the zoo for the first time. My parents have a picture very similar to this one of me sniffing a dandelion flower. I'll have to find it and post a comparison.
It has been fun talking with Grayson about the animals he saw at the zoo. He's now saying "bear" which is completely new for him.
Enjoy a video of our day...
