On Sunday afternoon, we went with my parents to visit the Edmonds waterfront. This was the first time Grayson had been to the ocean beach since he's been able to walk in the water on his own. He loved throwing the piles of sticks my dad brought over for him, sipping on cold drinks, and chasing the water as it went out and then squealing as the cold water touched his toes on the way in.

He would throw a stick, and then run down to try and grab it as the water brought it back in. You can't tell from these pictures, but most of the time one of us had a hand on him. I think he would have walked straight into the water if we didn't stop him!

We tried to get a family photo, but G wasn't in the mood. I thought letting him hold my cup would help...
It didn't. :)
Notice the scuba diver in the back ground of this photo? Well it turns out that the beach is also home to an underwater playground that is obviously frequented by a lot of divers. It was the first time G had seen a scuba diver. I wonder what he was thinking as he watched men walk out from the water!
