A One-Sided Water Fight

Saturday morning we went to the first annual NAMES 5k which was set up by the family of a good friend of ours, Nic Madrazo, who was killed in Afghanistan nearly three years ago. The money from the run goes towards purchasing calling cards for soldiers to use to call home while overseas. The run was a lot of fun. G and I just watched, but we saw so old friends who were there to support Nic's family. Adam ran the race and won! 3.3 miles in under 22 minutes! Wow!

After the run we had a quick play date with some friends and then I spent the afternoon at my parent's house. The weather was amazing, so Grayson began asking for the hose and "wa-wa" since it was fresh in his mind from playing the day before. My dad was more than happy to oblige.
Grayson tried to simultaneously catch the water in his mouth and with his hands nearly the entire time. Quite a sight to see!

Trying to fist bump the water? He did just learn how to do a fist bump and asks just about everyone to do one.

A quick hug for Papa before jumping into the water again!

Learning how to use the hose.

Love the simple pleasures in life!
