The night we came home from Mexcio, we were welcomed by snow...and LOTS of it! Even if the roads had been cleared off, I don't have a car with 4 wheel drive so we were housebound. I could take Grayson outside, but without proper snow gear he was soaked within minutes. He kept asking to play in the snow, so I improvised.
I brought it snow inside.
No I didn't bring in real snow, but rather I poured the contents of the bag of cotton balls into the hamper and called it snow.
This game has entertained Grayson for hours! He likes to use scoops, cups, tongs and spoons. I have to be prepared for a mess because he'll often like to just throw them up into the air and giggle as they fall down. I have decided that this just becomes an opportunity to teach clean up time.
Most of his time is spent pretending he's cooking. He likes to pick up a few cotton balls and tell me what kind of food they are as he adds them to his pretend bowl of soup. He gets pretty creative with what he adds to the soup. From pineapple to tofu to tomatoes...it's in there. Haha!
If he can't think of a type of food, he'll just mumble something. Ha!
Now I just keep everything is a tupperware bin so it is easy to pull out whenever he's ready to play with the cotton balls. I love seeing his imagination come to life with this new "game".
