Adam's parents stopped by for the weekend, and we had a great time soaking in the sun with them and spending time together as a family. Our first major stop of the weekend was Portage Bay Cafe. We went to the Ballard location which I had never been to, and it didn't disappoint.
Smiles with Auntie Kellie.
The one things that Grayson asked for was "apple dee dee". He loved it! I think he loved using the straw as much as he loved the drink.
Everyone enjoyed their meals...Grayson did too! They have an amazing toppings bar for their pancakes and french toast. I got the french toast (with a side of their pepper bacon) and piled it high with fresh fruit, almonds, syrup and whipped cream. Scrumptious!
After brunch we went to walk through the Ballard locks. I am shocked that I had never done this before. It was so much fun...the sunshine helped too! We walked across the bridge and watched the water and the boats going through the locks. Then you can go underground and watch the fish ladder. There was only one small fish in it this time, but I think we'll come back in a few months when the fish are really on the move.
Playing hide and seek with Uncle Al and Grandpa. Grayson was in heaven as he was allowed free reign of the grassy area.
Grandpa chasing Grayson has he collects sticks, wild flowers for a bouquet he made for me (my first bouquet from Grayson), runs and dances across the grass.
The next day we lounged at home, went out for dinner at Cactus in Kirkland, and then over to Alex and Kellie's for dessert.
