Moving Bark

Last weekend we helped my parents spread bark at their house. We arrived to find an enormous pile of bark in the driveway. Both of my boys couldn't wait to dig in!

It was a sunny, warm day and Grayson was stripped of his shirt as he made a climb for the top of the bark pile. I asked him to show me his muscles...Papa joined in too in the background.

Grayson insisted on bringing his shovel, bucket and rake so he could help. He spent time filling his bucet with bark and then dumping it out to begin again. My mom also got him on the project of gathering rocks. He did that really well until he found a puddle, and from then on he spent his time splashing the rocks into the puddle.

Helping Daddy fill the wheelbarrow.

He jumped in the car with Nana. Within seconds he had the lights flashing, the horn honking and the wipers going.

By the end of the day we were all tired, happy and very dirty.
