Sunriver 2012

Somehow my pictures all got downloaded backwards in this post, so I'll just have to write about this trip backwards too!

We had the Lewis family vacation again this year at Sunriver. It was such a great trip. Relaxing, fun and full of great memories. We stayed in the same house as last year in Caldera Springs, and again it was just beautiful. Our last day there was the fourth of July. We ended the day with a baseball game in a nearby field. I spent the time chasing G around who was more interested in learning to do a somersault than play baseball.

Enjoying the last few moments of sun.

We did a few fireworks at the house. Grayson was a little nervous about them, and decided he liked to watch them from the safety of the van.

Getting geared up for the baseball game.

Tub time. We had a huge tub in our room. I filled it with bubbles for G. He'd stick his hands in the bubbles and then giggle, "Bubble gloves!".

Splash! Grayson was a fish! We had to bribe him with food to get him out of the water!

The Sunriver Village had a big fourth of July festival. We all wore our matching shirts as we went exploring.

Checking out the fire trucks, rescue vehicles and police cars. This kid was pretty excited.

He looks guilty sitting in the back of the police car.

This picture was taken right before he was asked to step out because he almost turned on the siren while trying to push buttons in the police car cab!

Grandpa Stan took G for a train ride.

Grandma helping Grayson go for a ride on a tandem bike.

Being silly with Uncle Al.

We all went to the driving range. Even Grayson got to hit a few shots.

Soaking up the sun!

Golfing with Daddy.

"One, two three!"

Playing trucks with Uncle Al.

Adam and Stan would take turns tossing Grayson up in the air in the pool. Every time Grayson would shout, "Do it AGAIN!". I'm telling you...he was a fish!

Taking a snack break with Grandma at the pool. Almost every day Joan would stay at home while Grayson took his nap so Adam and I could sneak over to the pool for some extra sun time. What a treat!

Our one family photo.

He was really excited about the life jacket he got to wear.

Adam and I went golfing one morning together. Just the two of us. It was a little par 3 course in the community where we were staying. I played really badly. I blame the belly for getting in my way. Adam never complained about helping me hunt for all of the lost golf balls. I love this man.

When we first arrived it was dumping buckets of rain. It has been awhile since I've been in that kind of rain pour. Running 20 feet from the car to the front door we were soaked. All Grayson wanted to do was run in the rain!

It's a long drive to Sunriver, and this little guy did a great job! I think he was more of a trooper than I was!

A quick stop to stretch our legs turned even quicker when we realized we were in a swarm of killer mosquitos!
There were so many other fun things we did that I don't have pictures of. Going for oodles of walks, toasting smores, reading good books, soaking in the sun and delicious meals. What a fun time we had this year in Sunriver!
