(My boy and I)
I love going to church and seeing all of the little girls in their sweet dresses and hats, and the little boys in their darling dress clothes. When I was growing up, every Easter my sister and I would get matching dresses, sometime with hats or tiny gloves. I always felt so pretty. This year I picked out a special outfit for Grayson. He looked so handsome in his robin egg blue plaid overalls. What a doll!
(Oh those eyes!)
I love the colors of spring that are starting to pop up everywhere at this time of year. The white and pink blossoms falling from the trees and turning to a vibrant green. The bright yellow of the daffodils bursting open. The blue sky that we hopefully get to see more of! The red chests of the robins. The bright eggs waiting to be found in the yard.
(Grayson LOVES his Uncle Al)
I love the egg hunt that has become a Johnson family tradition. Every year my dad, and any other dad's at my parent's Easter dinner, hide eggs throughout their large yard. These eggs aren't just sitting on the grass waiting to be picked up. These eggs are skillfully hidden so that it often takes a double or triple examination of an area before all the eggs are found! It's usually every man for himself. You have to run fast, have a sharp eye and leave polite manners at the door! Ha! It's a fun tradition, and one that I can't wait to share with Grayson. Although it's already been decided that he'll have his own egg hunt because the big "kids" don't want to give up their own!
