Two Milestones In One Day!

Grayson decided to start April off with a bang! It's as if he made up his mind that April wasn't going to be just any other month...it was going to be THE month. On April 1st I woke up in a panic at 6:13am. I turned to Adam and exclaimed that Grayson had slept through the night! That's right...

SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!

I ran into his nursery, and sure enough there he was, sleeping away. He was just starting to stir, and began kicking his legs up in the air. I couldn't believe it! The only change I can think of that contributed to his sleeping through the night was that Adam had given Grayson a bottle for his 10pm feeding. Maybe he ate just a little more than usual, and that held him over until the morning.

It felt amazing to sleep that long, and it was the first morning in a long time that I can genuinely say I felt rested.

Ammmazing!I was happy enough with this gift from Grayson, but apparently he decided that sleeping through the night wasn't enough. So he also decided that today would be the day he rolled over!

Yes, you heard me right!

At three days shy of three months, Grayson rolled (aka flopped) over. He did it once with a feather weight push from me. I started hollering, my mom came running and I grabbed the video camera. Within a moment he rolled over on his own. The best part about it is that I was able to catch it on tape, so Adam was able to watch that night (I don't have the software to upload a video, but I'm going to work on getting it so I can post the video here.).
The next night Grayson slept through the night again! So yes, I am one happy and rested mama. So far he hasn't rolled over again, but we're working on it. :)

  3. Geeze Grayson! Rolling over that early!? He's already showing those athletic genes ;-) YAY for sleep! Isn't it WONDERFUL when that happens!? I remember being totally panicked the first time Ty did that, too. Good job mama!
