A Weekend at the Lake

Oh dear, I'm a week behind in posting! This has been a busy week! So let's back up to last weekend...We spent the weekend at the cabin. It was WONDERFUL! We had a full few days there. Most of it was spent doing things like laying in the sun, playing with Grayson and eating delicious food. Grayson put his feet in the lake for the first time...

He was not too thrilled about it. The water was very cold though, so I don't think I would've been too thrilled about it either!
I love this picture. It was right after his feet touched the water. It's like he's looking back at it saying, "What was that stuff?!".
Grayson loves to read books. These days though everything is going into his mouth, so he "reads" much better with a pacifier stopping him from eating the book!

Grayson loves hats, and is always trying to get to my Dad's hat. Finally my Dad just put the hat on G. He seemed pretty content and happy to wear it!
On our way back home we stopped at Deception Falls. I have driven past it my entire life, but I've never stopped to walk along the trail. It was beautiful. You walk over a grated bridge and down under the freeway along the river to the falls. There's another loop trail that takes you along the river and through the woods. We skipped that trail because the mosquitoes were a'flyin'!
I'm not sure what Grayson thought of the falls. It was very loud, so this will be a hike we'll do again when he's older.
We got back on the road and hurried to meet baby Sophia. Adam made sure we got a picture of Spohia and Grayson's first meeting just in case we need to use it someday for a wedding photo montage. :) Haha! Sophia is just as adorable as can be!
