9 Months!

It's hard to believe (I think I say that at each of these monthly updates!), but Grayson is 9 months old!
("I'm 9 months old! AAHHHH!")

Here is what he's been up to (it's been a BIG month!):

-Grayson is wearing size 3 diapers and size 6-12 month clothes. I just pulled out his 12 month clothes and they all fit now too!
-He goes to bed at 7pm, and we're working on dropping the 10pm feeding. Last night he slept from 7pm-7am!
-He can now crawl on his knees. Although he still works the army crawl most of the time. Because he can crawl, he was moved to the "Crawlers" room at church. He also goes for rides with the "Gallopers" class in the 6 seat buggy. He loves that! It's so funny to see him riding through the halls of the church. Ha!-He can pull himself up to standing. He's a big fan of using his mouth for extra leverage.
-Grayson is now sitting up on his own. He'll crawl over to his toys, and then push himself up to sit and play. He's also able to crawl up and over obstacles that might be in his way...baby gates are our next purchase. :)
-This kid is a bottomless pit! He's now having two finger food snacks a day, three solid food meals of at least 6 ounces of food, and is still nursing 3-4 times a day. Whew! Some days it feels as though I just finished cleaning up from one meal and it's already time for the next!
-He's getting better at signing "more" when he's ready for another bite of food...or he'll just yell at me. I guess either way he's getting his point across!
-Grayson is now eating Cheerios and Gerber Graduate Puffs. Last week the nursery workers told me that the week before they had given G Cheerios (without asking! Eek!), and he had loved them. I gave them the ok to give another cereal snack that day. When I picked him up G was sitting at the table pulling hordes of Cheerios towards him. He's been eating them at home now too ever since. -I'm working on getting Grayson to use a sippy cup. He can't quite figure out how to suck on it though. At this point all he wants to do is chew on it.
-I thought G had a cold last week, but the constantly runny nose was from another tooth coming in. The top front left tooth popped through! He now likes to nibble on previously mentioned cereal with his front teeth. He looks very much like a rabbit when he does this.
-Everything...and I do mean everything...goes into his mouth. The pictures from this month's photo session are proof.-He is content to play on his own for awhile in the pack n play. I'll often hear him from the other room "talking" to his toys. His favorite toys of the moment are the "squishy book", soccer ball, a soft sports rattle, and a sparkly "razzle dazzle" book. He also has been loving the Johnny Jump Up. I have been hanging it in the pantry doorway while I get dinner ready.
-I took the infant car seat adapter off of the stroller, so G now faces forward for walks. I miss watching him, but he LOVES looking all around and sitting up.-Grayson has no fear of other people. He'll happily get passed from person to person, content to pat their hands and face. He did cry for the first time when I left him in the nursery at church last week (they said he was happy the rest of the time though).
-He is such a happy and social baby! He says "dadada" all the time, with the occasional "la" thrown in. G loves to experiment with his vocal range, and will quickly go from a whisper to a scream.
-Grayson continues to love music. I still to him all day long. He'll clap along and smile almost instantly when I start singing. ("Enough pictures Mom!")

We LOVE you Grayson True!
