The Last Wedding of the Season

Last weekend I finished coordinating the last wedding of the weekend. The bride and groom were such a fun couple, and I loved getting to know them and their families. The wedding was at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish, and decor was the creation of the bride and her mom. I decided to call it Nature Chic.

Burlap, colored leaves, trees and candles were the theme. The runner was created with a long (and I mean LONG) piece of burlap. Their monogram was drawn at the start of the aisle. The sweet little flower girls scattered colorful leaves rather than flower petals as they led the way for the bride.
Beautiful dahlias in red, orange, yellow and burgundy ran along the edge of the aisle, were scattered on the centerpieces and lined the steps to the reception hall.
A multitude of amber colored glassware covered the front table in the ceremony hall. As the sun went down the candles glimmered and glowed.
The bride (and all of her family and friends) are crafters. Each centerpiece was handmade using pieces of cut wood, burlap wrapped candles, moss and colored leaves.
The guest book was a unique detail. Guests used colored ink to leave their thumbprints on black tree silhouettes. Guests signed their names next to their thumbprints.
Hopefully I'll have the professional pictures to share soon! I'm sure they are going to be beautiful. Despite the fall rain, every detail of the day was beautiful.

  2. Do you have any additional information on the burlap runner? Would love to have one at my upcoming fall wedding and don't know where to start! Thanks!

  3. The burlap was purchased on the bolt...so we had a lot of fabric to work with! It was held down at the front of the ceremony hall with carpet tape. We just unrolled it off of the bolt and cut it at the back of the aisle. We placed pieces of carpet tape every so often down the sides of the runner to hold it down. The "V" was just drawn on free hand with a sharpie marker. Let me know if you have any further questions about it!
