Summer Sunday

We had such a fun day yesterday. We woke early in the morning and enjoyed a cup of coffee while playing with Grayson before church. Once at church, we dropped Grayson off at Sunday school. Gone are the days of stranger anxiety of that little guy. Now he runs right in the door and begins playing with the kids. He jumps up and down as his friends come in to play, and talks about the music and the Bible song all morning before we get there. It makes me so happy to see him already love church so much!

After church we had lunch at home, and Adam and I tackled a home improvement project while G napped. That was the most trying part of the the day. What should have been an easy project ended up taking a LONG time, but we finished together and are now proud of our handy work (For those who are curious...it was a peg board wall we made in the garage.).

After nap time, we went over to Lynnwood High School and let G go wild running around on the football field. He ran and ran and ran! He's now able to catch a ball, and he also loves throwing and kicking. I think he would have been content to play on the field all day if we let him!

Practicing his tackles with Daddy!

Now he's off to tackle me!

Believe it or not, Grayson took this picture! He asked to "hold" the camera, so Adam helped him take the shot.

Taking a short break.

We decided that we needed a Jamba Juice to cool off. Yum! Grayson goes nuts over those smoothies. He loves watching them mix the fruit in the blender, and drinking from the straw. Ahhh...the simple pleasures of life. :)
Smoothie mustache.

We played at home and enjoyed a barbecue dinner. We ended our family day with a walk around the neighborhood. I tell you what...I love summer days!

Here's a video of our little future football/soccer star!
