Grayson's First Prayer

Each night we pray with Grayson before we put him to bed. Adam and I take turns thanking God for all He has given us, the fun adventures we had that day and the people we love in our life. Often we'll ask G is he wants to pray too. Usually he says, "No" or "Mommy turn" or "Daddy turn", but last week he said he would pray!

I started by saying, "Dear Jesus", and Grayson (in his own way) said "Thank you for this day" since that is what he has heard us say so many times. He went on to thank Jesus for Tommy, Papa, Nana, Grandpa, Grandma, Bobo and Harley, Duke and Daddy.

My heart melted. I'm even tearing up while I write this. Why? Because there is such a huge responsibility placed on the shoulders of Christian parents to teach your kids about how amazing God is and to be an example for them of what a Christian life should look like. To start to see Grayson responding to what we're teaching him is incredibly encouraging and such a blessing.
