Oh Tannenbaum

On Sunday after church we got our Christmas tree. There are no pictures of the actual event because Grayson was starting to get sick, and I'll admit it that I wasn't in the best of moods that afternoon. I know. Who can be in a bad mood when getting a Christmas tree. Just keeping it real here...and explaining the lack of photos.

We got home and G immediately went down for a nap. Little Christmas elves scurried in while he slept and set up the tree. When Grayson awoke we told him there was a surprise in the family room. he walked around the corner and his face lit up!
A tree in our house? He thought it was pretty great. Of course he gave it kisses and hugs. He was very excited about the ornaments as well. He wanted to look at all of them, and he helped hang a few, but mostly enjoyed passing ornament hooks to Adam and I.
Now our home feels complete. Christmas music plays, our stocking are hung on the mantle, all the decorations are up and now the wonderful smell of evergreen fills our home. I love this time of year.
