We decided that a "must-do" for this summer was to take Grayson to his very first baseball game. He loves playing baseball in the field and will even watch it on tv with Adam sometimes. We had been talking about going to see the Mariners for awhile before the game. When you would ask Grayson what we say at Mariners games, he'd say, "Go Mariners!". It was pretty cute how excited he was.
I let him pack his Griffey backpack with things he might want to help keep him entertained during the game. We put in crayons, paper, cars, and he loaded it down with books (I took several out when he wasn't looking). In the end, he didn't use any of it because he was so into everything else going on around him!
I love this picture! The backpack is almost as big as he is, but he loves carrying it around.
Our tickets were up in the bleachers, but we took him down to the field before the game started.
Watching the game. He liked to have everything that was happening explained to him.
Around the 4th inning we decided to take a little walk around the stadium. Grayson saw the Mariner Moose in the Moose Den, and he asked if he could go meet him. Of course we said yes. He walked right up to the moose when it was his turn, and stuck out his hand to shake hands! It was adorable! He didn't even realize that you were supposed to take a picture with the moose.
We ran into a few friends on our walk, and then decided to head home around the 7th inning. We asked Grayson what his favorite parts were and he said the players running around, meeting the moose and the music (he danced like crazy every time they would play music when a new player went to bat). He also loved watching the trains go by.
