Today was a big day. It was the first time we went out of the house as a family of four for no other reason than to go have fun. Up until now, any time we've gone out since Makenna's birth it was for a doctor appointment.
Our first outing was to Hillcrest Bakery in Bothell. I'm beginning to feel more like myself, although it definitely is a process. We all had to walk slower than normal so I could keep up with my boys as we made the trek from the car to the bakery. Once inside, we were greeted with the comforting smell of fresh pastries. We all picked out delicious treats (and coffee for Adam and I), and sat in a booth to enjoy.
Making the "man dance".
Makenna got lots of "oohs" and "aahs". We even got to meet the owners of the bakery who are from Bulgaria. They were sweet old ladies who were just doting on Grayson, and loved hearing all about him being a big brother.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the beauty God gives us everyday in nature. Even in the leaves that have fallen on the sidewalk.
