This last week Adam went up to Alaska for work, so I took the kids over to my parent's house for a few days. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and playing at the house, did a little Christmas shopping, they doted on the kids and I was able to watch my first entire movie since Makenna was born.
Makenna loved sitting in the bouncer chair watching the trees and sky through the same windows just Grayson peered out of when we lived there in his first few months. She loves lights just like Grayson did.
One of my favorite things Makenna does is yawn and stretch when she's falling asleep or waking up. Sometimes it's one hand up in the air like she's saying "hallelujah!", and other times she stretches with both arms and legs like she's trying to reach both sides of the room at the same time.
How sweet is my little boy giving his sister some loves?
We helped my mom decorate the Christmas tree. Makenna supervised from the bouncer chair.
Grayson helped hang a few ornaments. He didn't get very far though because he discovered my dad's old ornament of the Star Ship Enterprise, and G took off running around the house pretending it was flying through the air.
We went to the mall for a little Christmas shopping, and Grayson stopped to write a letter to Santa. He "wrote" some letters on the paper and then asked me to write "Dear Santa, I want a scooter and knee pads. Merry Christmas!".
Another day we went to Bell Square to watch my mom's choir preform. Grayson loved it, and was especially excited when he got to play the jingle bells and dance around.
Makenna slept through the entire show. :)
On the way home, Grayson kept saying that the sun kept flashing him and he needed his sunglasses. Haha...I guess he's gotten used to the rainy, cloudy days we've been having.
Makenna got lots of cuddles from Nana and Papa. That blur is Grayson racing around the room!
We were only away from home for a few days, but in the car on our drive home Grayson said, "I get to go say hi to my toys!".
