Typically we trade off holidays each year with our families. This year since Thanksgiving was at the cabin, we would be traveling to Alaska for Christmas. We decided to celebrate with my family before we left. Unfortunately, Christian came down with croupe (awful...poor thing!) so the Day family wasn't able to join the celebration. Our family still went over though, and we had a great time.
The kids got dressed up for the party. Makenna is wearing the dress that my sister wore for her first Christmas. I love it. All of the layers, lace and sweet embroirdary. Just beautiful.
One of Grayson's favorite things is doing tummy time with Makenna. He talks to her the entire time telling her what a beautiful girl she is. He talks in the sweetest high pitch voice. Melts my heart.
Bright flash! Haha!
Judy came over for dinner and was able to meet Makenna for the first time. Makenna was all swaddle up after a nap, and she loved being held by Judy.
Grayson was very patient, and waited until after dinner to open gifts. We had him open gifts from us since we didn't want to travel with them. He was VERY excited about the box full of new cars and played with them for a long time.
Makenna getting cuddles from Papa.
Grayson got an awesome doctor's outfit for dress up. He will love wearing that when he uses his doctors tools. He has a great imagination!
Santa heard that we were going to be traveling over Christmas, so he brought a gift early for Grayson. It was hidden in the den and G had to go find it. A scooter! That was the number one thing he had asked "Santa" for all month. He was thrilled!
I'm thankful that we were able to celebrate Christmas early with my parents.
