We spent Labor Day weekend at the cabin with the whole family. I love when all the rooms are filled and we can spend time enjoying time together at that beautiful place.
Much of the weekend was spent on the beach. It was beautiful out, and we did our best to soak in the sun.
Christian would have been content to throw rocks the entire weekend.
Makenna loved getting to be a part of things on the beach. She was in a bathing suit for most of the weekend.
We blew up a raft and the kids had a blast floating around in it. They loved when we would push them around playing "motor boat".
Wrapped around her tiny pudgy finger.
Jumping on his "boat"
"Surfing"
Every year we get lots of driftwood and debris that float up onto our beach. Last year we had a HUGE tree trunk wash onto shore, and it has not budged other than to turn a little at the high water mark. This summer my uncle got to work cutting it into pieces with a chainsaw. There was one large piece left that was next to impossible to cut because of all the knots in the wood. Adam and Kerry decided to push it out and let the tide carry it away. The video shows the full effort. Grayson loved watching Adam.
Makenna loved just being plopped down into the water to splash with the rocks.
Hanging out with Nana.
Grayson picked wildflowers for my mom, Makenna and I. I love his sweet, thoughtful heart.
G can't wait until he's able to go out in the kayaks, but until then he's content to be pushed back and forth by Adam and I.
Makenna and I went with my parents to my cousin's wedding. This is my cousin Lauren, and we're always told how much we look alike...so we took a picture together. :)
Had to get one with my other cousin, Abbie, too.
Beach babes.
Cutie patootie.
We spent lots of time sitting on this deck, soaking in the last bit of summer.
