A Lazy Week

Grayson has been a little thrown off of his sleeping schedule this week (ie. has woken up every night. His new thing is laying in bed and continually kicking. This is a problem because we share a wall with him and we (I) hear e-v-e-r-y single kick hit the mattress.). He also had an upset tummy mid-week, so we spent most of the week laying low at home. Here's how we filled our days:

Eating. Oh my goodness, can this boy eat! I have recently dropped 1-2 nursings a day and added another solid food meal. G is loving it. His new favorite is tofu.
I'm working on teaching him sign language for "more". So far he hasn't made any progress with using his hands to speak, but every time I ask, "More?", he opens his mouth like this:
We went for a couple walks this week. Grayson loves being in the stroller. I talk to him about the sounds he hears around him, he watches the trees and plays peek-a-boo with me behind the sun shade.

I mentioned the other day that I had discovered Grayson's love of Sesame Street videos. I really don't like him to watch tv, but every now and then I think it's ok. At one point this week I put him in the pack n play while I was getting dinner ready. He was practicing his new found screaming, so I put a video on for him. This is how I found him a few minutes later:
This kid makes me laugh every single day! I loved my lazy week at home with him.

  1. Ok the night time kicking keeping you awake...get a white noise machine for your bedroom :) Best thing we ever did. We just turn the baby monitor up loud enough so we can still hear Ty if he's fussing/crying, but not little noises like kicking and talking to himself, lol.

And the signing...keep at it! I did it for MONTHS with Tyson, showing him how to do it, and then helping him do it with his hands at every meal, and it took forever until finally one day it clicked and he started doing them! He was around a year I think, and I started showing him at about 9 months, so the patience pays off I promise! And the rewards are the CUTEST thing ever once they figure it out.
