When we told Adam's parents that Grayson was going to be dedicated the last weekend of October, they decided it wasn't an event to be missed. So they hopped on a plane and flew down from Alaska to spend a long weekend with us. They got in (late) on Thursday evening, and on Friday they were ready to play. Kellie, Grayson and I took them to First Street in Snohomish for a little fun.
We had lunch at Grillia Bites. Yum! Grayson wanted to try the soup, but there are just too many spices in there for him. So he stuck with nibbling on pieces of bread.
There is a store called Faded Elegance on First Street. It is one of those stores where you walk in and say a prayer that they will suddenly offer to wrap up one of everything for you to take home. Well, I didn't get anything for said store on this trip...but Grayson did! Grandpa Stan purchased a ceramic bingo ball for G, and Grayson held it like it was a prize possession...until he dropped it and it broke. Oh well, it was sweet while it lasted. :)
After lunch and some shopping we went down the block to Simply Sweets to pick up a special birthday order of chocolate-peanut butter cupcakes. Swoon! While we were there we decided to get a few mini cupcakes as well. This is another store where you wish you could have one of everything...minus the calories that is.
We met up with the boys for an enormous dinner at Maggiano's in Bellevue, and we topped off the evening by celebrating Stan and Joan's birthdays by eating previously mentioned cupcakes. What a delicious and fun day!
