For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:9-10

Sunday was a very special day for my family. Not because of the excuse to eat an enormous amount of sugar (although that was definitely a good part of the day). No, Sunday was special because we took
Grayson in front of the church to have him dedicated to God.

Adam and I walked up the steps following our pastor, and
committed to raise sweet baby G in a Christian home where he will witness the deep love we have for God and for each other.

My heart swells as I think about the front two rows that were filled with family and dear friends. As I see these people love my son, I in turn feel so completely loved. Each kiss, snuggle and giggle that is shared with
Grayson just adds to the overwhelming amount of love I feel. My cup truly does
runneth over with extraordinary blessings from God.

Pastor Steve spoke with Adam and I about our calling to first love God, and then to love each other. The importance of
Grayson watching these relationships, and our ultimate desire of watching
Grayson follow in our footsteps to have his own relationship with God. That is the prayer of my heart.

Pastor Steve took
Grayson into his arms to pray over him.
Grayson was more than happy to be held by him, and nearly
immediately reached out to squeeze Steve's nose and grab onto his glasses. We had to pry his fingers off at the end of the prayer.

After church we went back to our house for a chili lunch (it was Halloween
after all, and Halloween is just not the same without some chili!). It was a special time together with both sides of our family there to support us as we embark upon raising sweet baby G.

Our life verse that we chose for
Grayson is written at the top of this post.
Colossians 1:9-10. It is our prayer that
Grayson's life would be a reflection of these verses. Adam and I pray that God will guide us as we raise a son who we hope will live a life that pleases God in every way.

I know that God has amazing things in store for this little man. I feel very blessed to be surrounded by such incredible friends and family who support Adam and I in every way. My cup runneth over.
This is so sweet, Kyla! I LOVE his outfit...so fun to see boy's outfits because everything we have is PINK. Precious boy!
