Although the story of our Fourth of July weekend was told in the video, I had some pictures that were just too cute not to share. We started our weekend with a hike up Mt. Si. It was Grayson's first big hike, and he did really good. The weather was beautiful and the trail was pretty full. One mile into the hike Grayson had a major blowout. I luckily had a full package of wipes and just happened to have an extra plastic bag in my backpack!

Most of the hike up Grayson was tilting his head back looking at the trees and looking for birds or singing the Elmo song to us. He got out of the back pack for lunch and ran around throwing dirt, pine cones and sticks.
This was the view Grayson kept checking out. Gorgeous.

Hanging out in the back pack. He would give Adam hugs every now and then.

We made it about 2.5 miles up before Grayson started fussing and saying "All done!". He did great until about the last half of a mile when he was crying and squirming. I think next time we'll choose a less challenging hike!
Within 5 minutes Grayson was fast asleep. :)
We went to the cabin that evening, and the next morning we all went to the driving range at Khaler Glen. I just got a new set of clubs which I love! Grayson had fun playing on the putting green with Adam and my dad.

Adam decided that noon was late enough to drink beer while golfing. :)

There is no doubt about Grayson's love for music. He loves singing and dancing. Adam has been letting him listen to his headphones before his runs. Now he'll hold up the pulls from my sweaters to his ears and say, "naka" which means music. Clever boy.
If we let him, Grayson would have stayed at the waters edge the entire weekend. He was constantly throwing rocks and sticks and exploring the beach.
Splash! Grayson had absolutely no fear of the water this trip. He walked straight into the water in his little sandals and started splashing around. I'm glad he has no fear, but it also makes me anxious to get him in swimming lessons!

Hanging out in the sky chair. He loved this.
Throwing rocks with Nana. Oh how Grayson loves his Nana!
We have seen Grayson start to use his imagination the past couple of weeks. After discovering the "tar" (guitar) at my parent's house, he has begun pretending that everything is a guitar. Driftwood made a perfect guitar.
Traditional Fourth of July ice cream. Papa spoiled Grayson this weekend with lots of bites of ice cream and gelato in Leavenworth. Grayson was all too happy to be spoiled!

Floating on an air mattress for the first time.
"More, more!"
Happy Fourth of July!
