Adam turned the big 3-0 this year, and the celebrations are not soon to be forgotten. It was basically a two week long extravaganza. Between work parties, family dinners, his mom coming into town, a big shindig at the house and a dinner on the town...I think he was well celebrated!
We had several of our closest friends and family over to our house for a party. I'll update this post later with more pictures, but I think most of them are on my mom's camera. The house was decked out from top to bottom and we had an enormous Mexican feast with margarita's.
With the help of Alex and Kellie, I put together an amazing playlist of all of the top hits from Adam's lifetime. In the end it ended up being over 10 hours of music...there has been a lot of memorable music created since Adam was born!
We had everyone go downstairs for a game, which was a Scattegories game based on information about Adam. It was a riot!
Next came the cake...
It was a delicious cake I made, but when I lit all 30 candles...the smoke detector went off! Adam wouldn't blow out the candles though until everyone had finished singing happy birthday!
Such a fun evening!
Then on Adam's actual birthday day, I surprised him with reservations at the Dhalia Lounge in Seattle. It is one of my favorite restaurants and he had never been. We both agreed that it was one of the best meals we'd ever had.
I love you Adam and I so thankful to have you in my life!
