Noah and Brenna Tie the Knot

Last weekend we attended the wedding of our friend's Noah and Brenna. Adam and I have been friends with Noah since college, and Adam was honored to be a part of his wedding party.

The ceremony was at Bethany Community church, and it was beautiful. One element they added that I thought was very special was they asked the bridal party and family to write letters to be opened in five years. During the ceremony, the letters were placed in a box that they will open on the five year anniversary. I love that idea. Grayson only lasted until his snacks ran out, and then we listened to the rest of the ceremony from the foyer.

The reception was at the always gorgeous Sodo Park. It is an old fishing warehouse that has been turned into an event venue. Rustic wood plank floor, exposed beams and twinkle lights...perfection.

They had an ice cream truck come with amazing ice cream sandwiches. We all indulged.

After getting on a sugar high, we jumped out onto the dance floor. At first Grayson was a little shy. He wanted to dance, but only in my arms with his head on my shoulder. But that didn't last long. He soon asked my friend from college, Danae, to join him on the dance floor. After that he didn't stop until 10:00 pm. We danced and danced and danced. All three of us had a blast. At one point Grayson was in the middle of a circle of about 15 adults break dancing. Break dancing?! I didn't even know he could do that. Everyone was cheering him on, and he was soaking it in. There's a little boy on The Fresh Beat Band who break dances, and I'm wondering if that's where he learned his new found moves.

We finally left when I saw Grayson (who was dancing with Danae again) sit down and attempt to continue dancing on the floor. As we were walking to the car Grayson said, "Dance too hard. Tired.". As you can imagine...he slept A LOT the next day!

Congratulations Noah and Brenna!
