We got home from Arizona for a whopping two days and then we were off on our next adventure! Kellie had won the lottery to stay at the SPU Faculty House at Camp Casey for the weekend. The weather could not have been more perfect. We were basically outside the entire weekend. Perfection.
We hopped on the ferry to head over to Whidbey Island.
Grayson was SO excited! He loves his Aunt and Uncle.
We explored the beach a lot.
The older boys spent time trying to hit a floating bell pepper with rocks...
while the younger boy did some fishing with a pole he's found on the beach.
Adam and I went for a run in the early morning while Alex and Kellie stayed with the kids. On our run, we saw several deer and bunnies. When we went back all together later that afternoon, all of the deer had moved over into a field. They let us get so close to them!
"Can I go over here Mommy?"
How amazing it this picture? My boy in the field, with the deer, then the ocean, then the mountains, then the blue, sun-filled sky. Wow.
Exploring the forts.
The view from an underground bunker.
Trying on Auntie Kellie's sunglasses.
We had a picnic at the house, and then we laid out in the sun while the kids took naps. Makenna, who refuses to sleep in the pack and play most of the time, decided she'd rather be outside with us. When she looks so cute, how could I say no?
Here's proof that she's learning to sit up. She can stay up for quite awhile now before she falls over to the side or does a face plant!
Her tooth also officially popped though so she's a drool bug!
Those eyes!
We had dinner in town for Alex's birthday, and on our way home we enjoyed this AMAZING sunset.
More bunnies on my run the next morning.
G loves blowing dandelions.
Playing on the beach.
A ton of boy scouts were launching mini rockets. All of the boys liked watching them.
Strong lady!
Hunting for sea glass, throwing rocks, cuddles with kiddos.
Teeter totter, up and down. In the air, and on the ground!
Enjoying the sunshine.
Grayson asked to take a picture with Makenna.
Here's the house we stayed in. It was old, but beautiful. Thank you Alex and Kellie for inviting us to join you on such a fun weekend!
