Car Ride with Papa

DSC_0502
My boy loves cars. He'll point out things he likes about the cars he sees on the road, such as "Ooh Mommy! Look at those cool tires!". Usually the car he's talking about is something completely unexciting like the van the mom down the road from our house drives. He'll tell me details about the type of car he sees like, "There's a flat bed tow truck". He is all boy. Through and through.

One car he ALWAYS points out are convertibles. He's fascinated with the ability to take off the roof of the car. When I told him that Papa drives a convertible, he was over the moon! He called my dad and asked if he'd come over to take him for a drive. As you can guess, my dad dropped what he was doing and came over that moment! We got them set and off they went. My dad asked G where he wanted to go. He said he would drive him anywhere. My sweet boy thought about it and then excitedly said, "How 'bout Helping Hands!" (a thrift store down the road from our house). Ha! They ended up driving over to my parent's house so my mom could see him in the car. with a smile from ear to ear.

Grayson, who insisted on going sans pants for the drive, came home after a long drive. I asked if he was cold on the drive, and he said "Yeah! I was FREEZING!", I guess he learned his lesson! Both Papa and Grayson had a great time, and G is already talking about his next drive in the convertible.
