Family Time

Last weekend Adam, Grayson and I snuck away to the cabin for some family time with just the three of us. Before we started our trek over the mountains, we stopped by a friend's Husky tailgate themed birthday party. Between the corn hole, ladder golf, two sweet dogs, delicious tailgate food, football playing on a tv outside and lots of attention from the party goers...Grayson was in heaven. We stayed until he was near melting down, and then we were on our way.

This was greeting us when we got there. The weather the next morning wasn't as great, but it was cozy.

We went for a walk in the misty rain, watched movies, ate yummy food, and spent time together. Of course LOTS of rocks were thrown into the lake as well!

Grayson thought he was pretty cool sitting up high on the big log that washed ashore this year. My little boy with no fear tried pushing Dad's hands away and standing up on his own. Um...no thank you Grayson!
Love this picture.

We got up early Monday and headed back home (Adam was in a golf tournament that afternoon, so he was playing hooky from work that day.). Grayson cuddled with Elmo for most of the ride home. He was cheek to cheek with Elmo right before I snapped this pic. Also, notice the big kid who's now facing forward in his car seat! We have been holding out (for too long), and finally flipped him around. He loves it! I love looking back at him and getting sweet smiles in return.
