Seattle Date

Alex and Kellie asked if they could steal Grayson for an afternoon adventure, and we gladly agreed. Life has been going at breakneck speed, and we really needed a day away together (not to mention that the little man would LOVE a day with his auntie and uncle!). They came to pick up Grayson in the morning, and they wouldn't tell us what they were doing. All we knew was that they would doing a special surprise for us.

Once they were off, we jumped in the car with Makenna and set off for our old stomping grounds of Queen Anne. We bundled up against the blustery day and walked along the Ave and looked in a few stores. It was so nice to just take our time and spend time together.
This little lady came along as well. She slept for most of the adventure and probably hardly noticed that we left the house! I love the Moby wrap for being able to cuddle with this sweet girly while walking around outside.

While we were in the area, Adam declared it an absolute most that we make a stop at Paseo's for lunch. He even waited in line in the misty rain for us. What a man! Although I had to pick through the sandwich to take out the jalapenos (Makenna has a sensitive stomach when it comes to spicy food), the lunch was amazing. Paseo's never disappoints.

We also stopped at Starbucks where Adam treated me to a pumpkin spice latte...in a red cup no less.

When Grayson got home that evening, he walked in the door and the first thing he said was, "I painted a mug for you." So much for keeping a secret! He went painting with Alex and Kellie, had lunch and like a good boy read books on their bed for a 45 minute rest time (most days he takes a nap, but on the days he doesn't we at least do a reading/rest time). Then they came over to our house for dinner. Grayson kept talking about how much fun he had. Later in the week he said, "There's no one in the world like Alex and Kellie!". I'm so glad he loves them so much!
