A New Trail

A sentence I never thought I would say came out of my mouth this week. "Do you want to go to the water treatment facility to go for a walk?" See, that's one you don't hear every day. Well, that's exactly what we did. We went over to Brightwater in Woodinville, parked next to the treatment plant and started exploring their open to the public trails. It was so much fun!

Grayson picked the trail, and before we knew it we were hiking up a small grassy hill that opened up at the top with a view of Woodinville. The trails were smooth and covered with gravel, so it was easy for me to walk while carrying Makenna and for G to walk without getting into too much trouble. We all loved it.

We also checked out the indoor exhibits which taught all about how they treat water. It was really interesting, and Grayson enjoyed it too. I think his favorite part inside was reading about all the animals that have been spotted on the trails (including an owl and a cougar!), and getting a bar of soap. We'll definitely be going back to visit again.

It's hard to get a picture that's good of all three of us. And then getting a picture of just Makenna and Grayson is next to impossible. Oh well. :)
