For Easter I made some amazingly addictive sugar cookie bars. For real. I can't stop eating them once I start. Please only make these cookies if you are planning on serving them to a large group...otherwise you are in real risk of eating the entire 9x13 pan! Ok, maybe not the entire pan, but very close!
We also made a cake to celebrate Kellie's birthday. I asked Grayson what special dessert we should have for Kellie, and he said a cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles...so that's exactly what we had. Sometimes there is just nothing better then a good "from the box" cake covered in fudge frosting.
With all this baking going on, I asked Grayson if he would help me. He always loves helping me with baking projects. He pulled over a chair from the kitchen table and delighted in pulling out ingredients from the pantry, dumping them into the bowls, and mixing it all together. He really was excited to help, but it only lasted about five minutes. Then the call of his cars was more enticing. He did come back in quite a hurry when I told him I had an important job for him.
Taste tester of the batter...
He took his job very seriously.
After that we were all on a sugar high for the next several days.
